This year the Foundation will be running three grant rounds. Please email us if you have questions regarding the deadlines, funds available at each round, or which fund your program could be a good fit for. Note: Any and all Youth programs should apply to the Youth Advisory Committee Fund and/or the James C. Kingsley Youth Fund. These programs are not eligible for the Fund for Greater Albion. |

Eligibility & Restrictions
Any nonprofit public charity, as defined by sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, located within the greater Albion area or directly serving residents of the greater Albion area is eligible to apply for funding. Faith institutions, public entities, and schools directly serving the greater Albion community are also eligible for specific projects subject to restrictions. If you are applying from one of these institutions, please call to discuss your project prior to applying.
Applicants must be in good standing on all previous grants from the Foundation. Grant funds cannot support the following:
- Activities conducted outside the greater Albion area, unless directly serving residents from the greater Albion area
- School teacher salaries, in-service, release time or school administrative costs
- Existing deficits, licensing fees, fines, penalties, interest or litigation
- Fundraising or allocations to endowment or other restricted funds
- Funds which the applicant would re-grant to other organizations
- Cash prizes, contributions, donations
- Religious activities, including bible study, vacation bible camps, etc.
Please note: there are limitations on which economic development activities are considered charitable by the IRS. Please call to discuss before applying for economic development-related projects.
